$2.3B Sale of Centurylink's Data Center Business Renamed: Cyxtera Technologies

Centurylink completed the $2.3 Billion sale of its data center and colocation business to a private equity group lead by Medina Capital and Longview Asset Management. The new company has been renamed to Cyxtera Technologies.
The portfolio of data centers includes 57 facilities totaling approximately 2.6 million square feet of raised floor space. The Cyxtera data centers are located in North America, Europe, Asia and Australia. The acquisition was funded with a $1.3B leveraged loan with multiple lenders including Citigroup, JP Morgan, Barclays, HSBC, Citizens, Macquerie and Credit Suisse.
